The Legal Advocacy Committee works to identify the most pressing advocacy issues for people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities; develops strategies to address issues, and serves as a catalyst for precipitating change.

The Governmental Affairs Committee works to influence the development of public policies affecting the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families.
