North Dakota Protection &
Advocacy Project

     P&A will advocate for people with disabilities to be free from harm and mistreatment, and to receive quality services, individualized to each person’s needs.

     P&A is committed to having a positive impact on the quality of services to people with a disability by ensuring:

  • all allegations of abuse, neglect and exploitation (a/n/e) involving people with disabilities are thoroughly addressed;
  • all stakeholders (for example, people with disabilities, service providers, parents, guardians) are trained in prevention, identification and follow up response to a/n/e.
  • state of the art information will continue to be pursued and shared with stakeholders as appropriate;
  • continued outreach to underserved populations and their potential service agencies.

If you think that someone with a disability is being mistreated, abused, neglected or exploited, or you would like more information, please contact the
